DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO
Democratic Republic of The Congo (DRC) is a large and diverse country located in Central Africa. It is the second-largest country on the continent and is home to nearly 90 million people from over 200 different ethnic groups. Despite its rich natural resources, including copper, cobalt, and diamonds, the country has a tragic history of conflict, political instability, and poverty. The DRC has seen several wars, coups, and uprisings since gaining independence from Belgium in 1960. However, there have been some positive developments in recent years, such as a peaceful transition of power in 2019. With a new president in power, there is a renewed hope for stability and economic growth in the country. Interaction, albeit with the diverse wildlife or some of the many locals, as an essential function of any trip to the DRC.
