In Egypt, you will visit the incredible monuments, temples, artifacts and history. Cruise along the eternal NILE River in the style of the “belle époque of the early 20th century”. Witness time standing still evidenced by the rhythm of life along its banks. Visit all of the classical sites of Egypt but also the unique and less traveled parts of the country that will reveal to you some of the most magnificent sites barely ever seen by travelers such as the Middle Egypt area, as well as, the most beautiful of Egypt’s temples at Abydos. A highlight of this tour is the visit of the newly-opened Museum of Antiquities, which is the largest in the world and a true showcase. Visit temples, tombs, pyramids and markets and explore the Coptic Christian heritage of Egypt as well as its Islamic monuments. Explore Khan el Khalili bazaar in Cairo for a slice of life both past and present. NO trip is complete in Egypt without flying to see the most majestic and monumental of its temples: Abu Simbel. Special Tour Remark:
Egypt Visa: it is available upon arrival for $30.00 to be paid in cash.
Jordan Visa: It can be obtained at the airport on arrival and currently Gratis for groups of 4 or more.
While every effort will be made, STS reserves the right to change the routing, sequence and departure time of tour in case it is considered in the best interest of the tour quests, a site is closed or for reasons beyond their control.
Trip dates are based on departure from USA March 28 arriving Cairo the next day.
All rooms and cabins are run-of-the house (i.e. standard) and the cruise cost for upgrade to Suite (there are 4 suites on the ship) is $150.00 per person per night ($600.00 for the 4 nights in double occupancy).
Volunteer opportunity in Egypt will be incorporated later on. Lots of possibilities and options are available.
